Jesus was God in human form, but He washed feet.  

Where and when Jesus lived, people got around by walking.  There were few paved roads (and those were rocks) and they lived in a desert region.  It was hot and dusty.  Animals pulled caravans and did their business on the road.  And they didn’t have Nike or Adidas tennis shoes back then – at best they had sandals. 

Long story short – people’s feet were gross.

That didn’t stop Jesus.  In John 13, we see Jesus get on His knees and wash His disciples’ feet.  This was a job typically reserved for servants, but Jesus assumed that role and faithfully served His friends.

Then, in verse 14 He says, “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”
